The 41 bed Lodge may be booked on a group basis. Activities offered include canoeing, kayaking, hiking, cross-country skiing, picnicking and summer camps for children. Half Moon Lake 19 km southeast of Sherwood Park (780) 922-3045 Camping, fishing, horseback riding, picnicking, swimming, and other recreational activities. Individual and group camping sites are available. Kawtikh Retreat on Hastings Lake (780) 922-5168 Hastings Lake is along Canada's second largest migratory bird flyway. Kawtikh Retreat offers boating, camping, cabin rentals,fishing, picnicking, and a sandy beach. Sherwood Park is the residential and shopping center of Strathcona County, located on the eastern edge of Edmonton. Sherwood Park has 42,000 residents, about 2/3 of all the residents of Strathcona County. The community is leads western Canada in oil refining and is home to more than 1,500 businesses. Strathcona County covers over 480 square miles and has Alberta's fourth largest population, after only Edmonton, Calgary, and Lethbridge.
