Beautiful Sherwood 
Park Sherwood Park is the residential and shopping center of Strathcona County, located on the eastern edge of Edmonton. Sherwood Park has 42,000 residents, about 2/3 of all the residents of Strathcona County. The community is leads western Canada in oil refining and is home to more than 1,500 businesses. Strathcona County covers over 480 square miles and has Alberta's fourth largest population, after only Edmonton, Calgary, and Lethbridge.

Annual events include: Canadian Birkebeiner Cross County Ski Festival (Early February), Chamber of Commerce Trade Fair (mid April), Kinsmen Festival Days (end May), Canada Day at Broadmoor Lake (July 1), Strathcona County Fair (mid August).

    This 97 square kilometre area offers 150 km of hiking, mountain biking, or cross country ski trails for day-use access. The park has many species of birds and wildlife to see.

    Strathcona Wilderness Centre

    Interpretive and outdoor programs provided at the Centre give a well-roudned out door experience. 16 kilometres of cross-country ski trails are well-groomed in the winter. The 41 bed Lodge may be booked on a group basis. Activities offered include canoeing, kayaking, hiking, cross-country skiing, picnicking and summer camps for children.

    Hastings Lake is along Canada's second largest migratory bird flyway. Kawtikh Retreat offers boating, camping, cabin rentals,fishing, picnicking, and a sandy beach.
