Edmonton is known as the Festival Capital of Canada, with more summer festivals than anywhere
in Canada. It must be because of the invigorating winters, we appreciate the summers so.
But even in the winter, there is still a lot going on.

Canadian Birkebeiner Ski Festival
2,600 participants gave their all in the cross-country ski festival. Apart from the 55 km endurance races and the 31 km Journal Tour, there are shorter distance events like the 2.5 km Ole's Two-Bit Tour, the 5 km Dow Snow Shuffle and the 15 km Celanese Mini-Birkie. (780) 430-7153
